I am a life long science junky, and have continued to support my habit by part time teaching, and disguising field trips as family vacations. I hail originally from so. Cal. and earned biology degrees at UCR and Cal St. Fullerton. I have worked on the ecology of spadefoot toad tadpoles, aestivation behavior of the rough skinned newt (Taricha),from which I lovingly choose my daughters name (Tarika) and other tangents, some of which even spill over into the field of health care research. I teach Cell Biology and Zoology, and hope to offer a biologically based anthropology course here someday. For fun, we hike, bike, fish, kayak, and travel, and have grown wine grapes in the Walla Walla valley since 1984.
